The 2017 Regional Victorian Netball League came to a close following 5 exciting Grand Finals across the state. 2017 saw the RVNL enter its 11th year of competition, providing players with an opportunity to play elite netball with and against the best talent for their region.
The competition kicked off in Sale for the Eastern region on the 30th January with 6 teams competing in the 15/U division with the 17/U and Open divisions commencing at Churchill the following week. After a competitive season across all three divisions the Grand Finals saw Gippsland League take out all three premierships for the third consecutive year.

Primarily played at Flora Hill Stadium in Bendigo, the 2017 North Central RVNL season saw the introduction of home games with Echuca and Kyabram hosting RVNL matches. Two new team entries in Kyabram Netball Association and Castlemaine & District Netball Association were competitive against returning associations, Echuca & District and North Central. The Grand Final was a thriller between Echuca District NA and Kyabram NA coming down to just 1 goal.

Four teams competed in the Goulburn/North East competition including new addition, Wangaratta Netball Associaton. With the Albury 15/U team playing up a division, the competition was able to run for 6 weeks at HP Barr reserve in Wangaratta. The Grand Final between Albury NA Gold and Wangaratta NA saw Albury NA take out their third RVNL premiership.

The Champions Challenge will take place on the 21st May at the State Netball Hockey Centre.
